BitByte Labs

Software for the front desk, and the tracker we use to build it.

Waity keeps walk-ins and appointments moving at salons, clinics, restaurants, and other service businesses. ByteBoard is the work tracker we built to run Waity's development, and we want to open it to other teams later. Each product has its own brand and does one job.

What we make

Two products so far. Waity is live, and ByteBoard is in development.

01

Waity

Live

Waitlist, appointments, and walk-ins on one board

Waity is for restaurants, salons, clinics, and anywhere else people wait in person. Front-desk staff see every booking and walk-in on one board and move each person from waiting to served. On paid plans, owners can run multiple locations and see wait times and no-shows in one place.

  • Bookings and walk-ins share one visits board
  • Reminder emails so fewer people forget
  • Online booking you can turn on when you're ready
02

ByteBoard

In development

Work tracking for small product teams

ByteBoard started as the tool we needed to plan and ship Waity. It covers stories, epics, and releases, and keeps a wiki next to the work so specs don't live in a separate app. Right now only our team uses it. We'll open it up once it's ready for people who aren't us.

  • Board and list views for stories
  • Epics, releases, and docs in one place
  • Early access when it opens

How we work

Small on purpose

We're a small team, and we use what we build. Waity's roadmap lives in ByteBoard, so we hit its rough edges before anyone else does.

  1. 01

    One job per product

Waity handles visits and waitlists. ByteBoard handles stories, releases, and docs. We'd rather run two focused products than one suite that tries to cover everything.

  2. 02

Designed for the person using it

Waity is built for someone checking in a customer while three more stand in line. ByteBoard is built for the team shipping Waity, which is us. We skip features that only look good in a demo.

  3. 03

    Ship early, then tighten

We get working software in front of people early and fix whatever slows them down on busy days. A new feature has to justify the extra screen it adds.
